Final Practical Assessment for the Culinary Students - A Feast for the Eyes!

There’s no easy recipe to become a successful and recognized Chef. It involves passion, dedication, talent, creativity and a lot of training, just to mention some of the 'ingredients'.

Our Culinary Arts students are aware of it, and they strive to get the best results at every challenge they have to face.  A recent example of this was during the Final Practical Assessment for the third year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts.

The third and final year at the B.H.M.S. Culinary Academy, leading to a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, builds on students’ existing culinary competencies and experience to deepen and hone practical, leadership and business skills. Before the students can progress to their final industry placement and graduate positions, they have to do a final assessment and demonstrate their skills and creativity by preparing and serving a three-course menu.

The students created and presented their meals at the Bistro57, our à la carte restaurant located at the Baseslstrasse Campus. Students and staff were able to enjoy a great meal that day composed of special flavors, colors and textures.

According to the Executive Chef Shaun Leonard, the Culinary Students were really successful and they are ready now to proceed to their final and third industry training.Student of Culinary Art at Business and Hotel Management SchoolStudy Culinary Art at B.H.M.S. Lucerne
